A Colourful Hot Pink Kitchen In Southampton
The Project
Sarah had reached a fabulous stage in her life when she could choose exactly what she wanted rather than having to please others or worry about the longevity of her colour choices. Many of our clients notice and comment on the ‘hot pink’ gloss door sample from our SKD Bespoke range, often mooting that they are not brave enough, but Sarah took one look and declared that that is exactly what she had been looking for and from that point the design process had ‘hot pink’ at its centre.
This was a really fun design to undertake! We teamed the gloss pink with matt light grey also from our SKD Bespoke range just to give the kitchen a stylish, luxury feel and found a glass splashback with the perfect touches of pink to complement the colour scheme without overwhelming the room.
The layout was purposefully uncomplicated, allowing the pink to take centre stage, but with a brief to help give her an uncluttered space we designed in lots of storage throughout. On one side of the kitchen a large stand alone tamber unit was fitted to hide away those bigger items such as a cake mixer and toaster. We also incorporated a small table height breakfast bar in Aluminio Nube Silestone to match the worktops. The Rose Washed Oak Karndean flooring added a softness to the room giving it a very homely feel.
What the customer said…
I wanted a company that would deal with everything from start to finish. I certainly found it in Solent Kitchen Design. From my initial meeting to the completed kitchen, they took care of everything and I have ended up with my dream kitchen! The original design was everything I wanted and didn’t need any changes at all. The team that carried out the work were hard working and the quality of work was exceptional. Thoroughly nice chaps. Thank you so much!!
