Kitchen Sales Designer

With big plans for this year and beyond it’s time to find an aspiring Sales Designer to join the team.  This role incorporates all of the usual components of a KBB sales designer position whilst uniting elements of the project management and so is ideal for somebody who is eager to understand the product and installation technicalities and take ownership of a project from first meeting through to completion, whether it be a full project high value kitchen or a simple worktop change.

The role…

Working closely with the small team of designers and in-house fitters we are looking for a proactive and organised person who can advocate our ethos of providing informed and balanced advice, delivering truly bespoke designs and striving to maintain the excellent quality of service we are known for.

The fundamentals include:

  • Engaging with and advising potential customers in the showroom, on the phone and by email.
  • Carrying out detailed home surveys and showroom-based design consultations.
  • Producing designs, translating the designs into CAD images & quotations and presenting these to customers in the showroom.
  • Following up on leads and quotations in order to gain the sale.
  • Administering projects including placing orders with suppliers, communicating fitting schedules with customers and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Being the main point of contact for the customer from survey through installation to sign-of and visiting site and liaising with the with the fitting team throughout the project.
  • Taking ownership of any enquiries or issues from customers and suppliers as they arise and liaising with the team to ensure swift resolution.

You will also get involved with the myriad of other activities that we do in our small business. Depending on your skills and interests this could include creating social media posts, photographing finished installations, organising and partaking in cookery demonstration days, helping out on site or in the workshop etc…

The ideal person: is a passionate designer, pro-active, organised, accurate and commercially astute with efficient CAD skills and an inherent drive to gain a sale whilst delivering top quality customer service. With ambitions to develop and grow within the KBB industry, you will have proven experience as a sales designer in the KBB industry and/or a degree in an interior architecture related field. Most of all, you are confident and comfortable working within the luxury end of the market and are a flexible team player willing to work as an integral part of the team effort.

The Details

Hours of work will be 9am to 5pm 5 days per week including Saturday on a rota basis (a day in lieu will be given for Saturday working). Part time will be considered on a reduced number of days basis. It will involve Saturday working on a rota basis and 9am-5pm on working days.

This is a salaried position with the opportunity to earn performance bonus. Starting salary will reflect previous skills and experience.

As home surveys and site installations can take place across a wide area of Hampshire, a driving license and use of own vehicle is essential for this role (mileage paid).

This role is showroom based and therefore not suitable for remote working. The candidate must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English and have full rights to work in the UK.
