Project case study – A two-tone shaker kitchen in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire

The Project

Our Chandlers Ford Customers had a big room to fill!  They loved the shaker style and the idea of bringing in a bold colour alongside a more classic tone, leading to them choosing the beautiful heather and edwardian white shades.

To give a point of difference to the end of the run, we desiged a curved finish with open shelving and a wine rack.  The breakfast bar on the island unit was designed to mirror that shape.  The finishing touches included river valley white grainte worktops, full height larder units, Siemens appliances, glazed porcelain floor tiles and feature lighting around the breakfast bar and wall units.

What the customer said…

We wanted some experienced input into the design and layout of our proposed new kitchen, so who better to ask than a professional kitchen design team you’d think.  Not necessarily.  We had three separate companies round to advise and quote, but two of the three simply sat down and asked us what we wanted; only Solent Kitchen Design engaged with us to any degree in the design concept.  In fact David’s first reaction on arrival was to accurately measure the kitchen and find out where the existing water and power supplies were – great start – the others were only interested in a coffee and a chair.  We were so impressed with the help, design standard and finish offered by SKD that we also asked them to help design and fit two bathrooms and a cloakroom, all of which have exceeded our expectations.

– what more can I say – we recommend them very highly.
